この度、人間国宝の狂言師・野村万作を追ったドキュメンタリー映画『六つの顔』（8月22日公開）の【英語字幕版】の上映が決定いたしました。2008年にユネスコ無形文化遺産に登録され、海外からも高く評価される日本の伝統芸能「狂言」。その狂言の道を歩んで九十年、人間国宝の狂言師・野村万作が人生をかけて到達した芸の境地に迫る映画『六つの顔』を、世界中から日本にお集まりの方にご鑑賞いただく機会として、シネスイッチ銀座（東京）にて【英語字幕版】の上映を実施いたします。

Kyogen, a traditional Japanese performing art registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2008, is highly regarded both domestically and internationally.

The film captures the essence of Kyogen, a traditional Japanese art form that vividly portrays human emotions such as joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness through laughter. Mansaku Nomura, a Living National Treasure, has dedicated his life to this art, and the essence of his refined Kyogen play Kawakami is presented along with the original scenery of the story in the film. Aiming to preserve and pass on Mansaku’s legacy to future generations and the world, director Isshin Inudo documents the artistic milestones achieved by Mansaku Nomura, who will celebrate 90 years in the art in 2025.
